January 1st Happy New Year

†Good morning, Happy and Blessed New Year,

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit I begin this day. Gracious and Loving Creator, the start of each day holds the promise of new beginnings. Help me surrender to You the cares of yesterday and to increase my awareness of Your goodness, of Your mercy and Your compassion towards us. As I begin this New Year, help me also to form a strong habit of prayer, and to remain open to the gifts of humility, simplicity and sincerity.  May the continued joy of Christmas fill our days with hope, with Your grace and Your truth.  Come and teach us what love truly is, teach us to imitate Mary in loving her infant Son, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God you who received without question the life of Jesus pray for us, Lord Jesus hear our prayers and bring us to everlasting life.  Amen

En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo empiezo este día. Creador Bondadoso y Amoroso, el amanecer de cada día encierra la promesa de nuevos comienzos. Ayúdame a entregarte los cuidados de ayer y aumentar mi conciencia de Tu bondad, Tu misericordia y Tu compasión hacia nosotros. Al comenzar este Año Nuevo, ayúdame también a formar un fuerte hábito de oración y a permanecer abierto a los dones de humildad, sencillez y sinceridad. Que el gozo de esta Navidad llene nuestros días de esperanza, de Tu gracia y Tu verdad. Ven y enséñanos el verdadero amor, enséñanos a imitar a María en el amor a su Hijo, Jesús. Santa María, Madre de Dios, tú que recibiste sin duda la vida de Jesús, ruega por nosotros, Señor Jesus, escucha nuestra oración y llevanos a la vida eterna. Amén
